Check your Website Email at LEAST every other day!
Prompt response to a visitors Email means alot. So never
put it off, there may be a possible sale in one of those
letters!
CREATE NEW EMAIL FOLDERS to sort and place Email
into. Label them Inquiry, Follow-Up, and SAVE. As you
read through your Email and respond to them, MOVE them
to Inquiry. If they ask for something you just told them
you would look into, then place them in Follow-Up.
Once the Emails in Inquiry and Follow-Up have
been deal with, even if they have not bought anything,
place them into SAVE!!! Now you are creating a huge
PRIVATE mailing list of people already interested in
your service, product or website, and in the future, if
you run a huge sale or introduce something spectacular,
you can send out a *NOTICE* to all of these people!
THAT is ALOT of advertising power you can be
producing yourself, if you take the time to process the
Email and handle the requests.
Now, as you respond to these Emails, MAKE SURE
that your Website URL is included in the SIGNATURE-FILE
of your Email program. This assures that every Email you
send out has a link people can click on to get to your
website.
URGE PEOPLE to join your Mailing List to get your
Newsletter when you write back. The collection of these
Email Addresses in your list is a HUGE advertising boost!
People must join your Mailing List voluntarily, otherwise
the Mass Emails you send out may be considered to be what
is called SPAM (Junk Email that is unwanted), which is
considered illegal.
2. RUN A NEWSLETTER!!!
Running a Newsletter off of your Website can be
a great advantage! It doesn't have to be huge, or have
a weekly publishing date. Just an Email from you every
once in a great while is enough to keep people reading
and to keep them under the "potential customer" heading.
You can get an idea of a Newsletter by signing
up for some and checking them out. They all consist of:
A HEADER- With the Newsletter Name, Date, Index
UNSUBSCRIBE INFO - If they want off your list
WEBSITE LINKS - Placed throughout the Content
CONTENT - Information that interests the people
ADVERTISEMENTS - Hawking your Product or Service
Be sure to include content that people may want
to see everytime the see your newsletter appear! If you
put out a couple of bad ones, they may just delete your
Email before reading it at all!!
3. OBTAIN MORE TRAFFIC:
ADVERTISE, ADVERTISE! That's IT, there's no other
way. Place your Domain URL on ANYTHING you CAN! Pens, or
Refrigerator Magnets, in your companies Newsletter, even
on the side of an automobile. ANYWHERE you can find, that
gets this web address out into the public!
Add your Domain URL to your Email Signature file,
so that every Email you send advertises for you. Add it
on your Business cards. Say it on your telephone Answering
Machine!!! (If your closed, they'll visit online!)
Advertising on the internet requires a bit of
finesse in that you must avoid Spamming, and at the same
time reach the right type of potential customer, and as
many of them as you can. No one sells Email lists legally!
You must rent space on a large list to advertise, or go
to other lengths such as Free Classifieds.
